Bird feeder modifications 4

Charlie along with other partners in damage, attempting to get to the covered feed tray, hacked away at the feed cover until it was ripped away from the servo actuator arm and ended up on the lawn. Yep… it’s back in the workshop :-)

Those buggers are strong and smart and I don’t want to loose the jousting competition… thinking. Went for a walk around the garden and found this large pot plant saucer that hopefully will prevent them from grabbing the edge of the feed cover.

Why didn’t I think of this before?

From December 2023 I have had lots of Outlook 2021 calendar health appointments and wondering why I did not think to do printouts like this. With poor eyesight I have been standing at counters struggling try to read the phone to check if the suggested appointment date is going to clash with another one!


I have printed three copies with date range from this week to end of January. One for ET to back me up, one for the car and one for the computer desk.

In this session we are wiring the reversing camera and then in the drivers footwell connecting everything to power and also mounting and connecting the camera monitor screen.

Toyota Camry reversing camera & rear shelf camera – Part 1

Yesterday we repaired the Mitsubishi Lancer Rear View Camera Mirror. Today we are working on the 1991 ‘Blue Limo’, installing a number plate reversing camera and a rear parcel shelf camera.


This is going to take 2 or 3 sessions over a couple of days.

Sunday family working bee – Part 1

I have been solo prepping last week for tomorrow’s working bee – see my previous posts. This afternoon under shade I did some final prepping culminating in getting the extension ladder through what we call the cottage garden safely and up against the tree that is being lopped tomorrow – yay

Finally after lopping smaller shrubs last week the extension ladder is in the right starting position
