Table saw – Mini crosscut sled

During construction of the bandsaw (and other stuff around the workshop) I had need to cut small parts, to small and to dangerous for the big 12″ sliding mitre saw, so I just made a small crosscut sled for the table saw.

The base and tracks are laminate flooring with front & back from pine.

Cross-cut sled

Following the general wood working hobby trend where if you have a table saw then a almost compulsory DIY addition is a crosscut sled – I did the same.

Not sure why I didn’t take any construction photos, these are all I have.

Later on added a perspex cover which I consider a dust reducer rather than a extractor, although there is provision for that at the back.

The cover is hinged and the height is adjustable and can be removed completely – just pull up and off.
