Our parcel collection notifications are going digital for MyPost customers

Hi Alan,

From 5 October, we’ll send digital notifications* to advise of an attempted delivery, instead of leaving a paper card.

These notifications will let you know that we tried to deliver and the reason why it couldn’t be completed, and when your parcel is ready for collection at the post office or a nearby collection point. These will be sent via email, SMS or through the AusPost app. If you use the app, you’ll also get a one-off QR code specific to that parcel.

Simply show the notification, the QR code (for app users) and suitable ID at the Post Office to collect your parcel. Your parcel will still be kept at the Post Office for 10 business days for you to collect, and we’ll send you a reminder on day 5 if your parcel hasn’t been collected.

Don’t worry if your family or friends aren’t MyPost customers, they’ll still get a paper card.

Family Ancestry we are done for now

Been at it for a while and we now have a tree with lots of branches. Contacted DNA linked relatives (living lol) like cousins that I never knew existed, flurry of activity and info exchange. Things are pretty quiet now as people go back to their daily lives – including me.
Anyway… at this point no point paying a monthly subscription so we have cancelled. The good thing with Ancestry.com is that messaging is still active with the free (no subscription) account so I’ll just sit on it and see what happens. If people contact me there may be enough activity to justify a monthly subscription – to update stuff.

Bin collection today


Yellow recycle and Green garden & kitchen waste.
This week Yellow is chockers due mainly to the concurrent annual hard waste collection so I’ve been doing the rounds collecting whatever can go out.
Before the trucks come around council inspectors have been monitoring bin contents to check that residents are following the bin sorting rules – they are watching! Some neighbours have had their bins tagged warning and notifying to follow the rules.
Anyway… went out this morning with another hand full for the Yellow bin a we have – been tagged!
