Sunday family working bee – Part 1

I have been solo prepping last week for tomorrow’s working bee – see my previous posts. This afternoon under shade I did some final prepping culminating in getting the extension ladder through what we call the cottage garden safely and up against the tree that is being lopped tomorrow – yay

Finally after lopping smaller shrubs last week the extension ladder is in the right starting position

The ladder is safely secured… top rung is hooked over a branch stump that I lopped many years ago when it was half the height!

All those high branches are on or over the fence line.

Branch grabber – I still have the long aluminum pool cleaner pole so I fixed a wall storage bracket to one end so we now have another option to safely lower branches; heavy duty rope with with end loop knot or the grabber pole.

I also made this lead rope grabber…

To grab this light duty rope after the wooden weight is thrown over a high branch. The main rope is then tied to that and pulled over the branch.

Back soon…
