Problem with one of the V380 cameras

Went to move it from the bird bath over to the cottage garden to monitor Speckles and when I plugged the micro USB cable into the camera connector it broke away and is now rattling around inside the camera housing – bugger.

Gave myself no chance of repairing this one!

Removed the base and the USB PCB socket dropped out onto the work bench. – the tiny mounting legs have broken off. No photo of the actual socket as it’s too small (bloody tiny) for the phone camera to focus.

Buddha water feature not happy – part 1

The solar pump water outlet flow is like a cyclic spitting?

Had to go up a stepladder which is at the end of a long pole (catch the sun) to remove the solar panel. At the workbench pulled the pump apart and nothing obvious jamming the motor – scratch head.

Driveway carriage lights not working

Looks like a faulty motion sensor.

Last night I noticed the front lights had come on…and stayed on?
Went out to try resetting the sensor but that was no-go so we have another job to add to the list.

This was a 2015 project – the sensor is secured to the top of a upside down plastic Jiffy project box.

Replacement battery for Betty

Betty is our Garmin nuvi 2597LMT GPS that we bought off our older daughter a few years ago. The battery has been showing signs of dying so got a replacement one off eBay for less than $15 dollars. Battery arrived weeks ago and been sitting on the balcony computer desk and when I finally got around to doing the job could not find the bloody thing.

Tiny Torx screws !…do I have bits that small? Took a while to remember that we bought something like a precision bit set from a walkway trader at Chinatown (The Glen) – found it in the workshop.
