To make an authentic McDonald’s Egg & Bacon McMuffin, toast a split English muffin.
Fry Canadian bacon (or eye bacon).
Fry one large egg inside a wide mouth Mason Jar lid and steam with a splash of water – and cover.
Assemble with a slice of American cheese.Ingredients

1 English muffin split
1 large egg
1 slice of Canadian bacon or eye bacon
1 slice of American cheese
1 tsp butter
Cooking spray

Toast the Muffin:
Toast the English muffin halves in a toaster until golden brown. Once done, lightly spread butter on both cut sides.

Cook the Bacon: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the Canadian bacon and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until warmed through and slightly browned. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Egg: Lightly oil a 3.5-inch egg ring or metal biscuit cutter and place it in the center of the skillet. Coat the inside of the ring with cooking spray. Crack an egg directly into the ring. Using a fork, pierce the yolk to break it.

Steam the Egg: Add a tablespoon of water to the skillet, outside of the ring, and immediately cover the skillet with a lid. Let it steam for about 3 minutes until the egg whites are firm and cooked through.

Assemble: Place the slice of American cheese on the bottom toasted muffin half. Layer on the warm bacon and the cooked egg (removing the ring carefully). Top with the remaining muffin half.

Enjoy.
