Al’s Kitchen – Kmart Cast Iron Pot
Shoppers rush to get their hands on Kmart’s stylish new $30 cast iron pot – and it looks JUST like the Le Creuset version that costs $450
I have quite a collection of the ALDI Crofton range ALDI Crofton Dutch Oven.
Hmm… maybe to many and recently gifted my older daughter the Cast Iron French Pan.
Meatball Curry
This is much the same as my Chicken Curry but first the balls need to be prepared. Finely dice medium onion and in a bowl mix that into 500G of mince along with curry powder (Mackenzies Clive of India) and a beef cube. Now the fun part; compress and form into balls, put aside and start prepping/cooking the main curry sauce. PM for recipe.
Al’s Kitchen – New rice cooker
Finally gave in and bought a rice cooker-
What triggered the purchase was that my older daughter could not get one at her local Kmart so I did the walking and managed to do a click & collect at out local Brandon Park Kmart – so I bought two of them.
Al’s Kitchen – Nasi goreng
Nasi goreng on the left and a mild madras curry on the right.
That’s an ALDI Wok, one of my favorite cooking utensils.
No recipe – I did my own thing which is always a bit of a gamble; will it turn out all right?
Al’s Kitchen – Leftovers stir fry
Al’s Kitchen – Steak & Potato fry
BIG W Sandwich Press
BBQ42 this evening
Using the 2 burner BBQ that we got from Bunnings a few years ago which has made the larger 5 burner family BBQ almost redundant.
Al’s Kitchen – Meatball curry
Mum’s recipe which was handed down from her mother which was handed down from…never mind.
It’s the same recipe for chicken curry except for beef stock cube – use chicken.
