Another session, another big stump root, same procedure as before.
Attack with chain saw then prise out with crowbar.
While resting… these days that crowbar feels heavier, thinking about what sort of garden feature for here – tiered water fountain?
Rosie says…Hi Ruby get off the food!
After 20 years of dainty Bantams these Isa Browns are like raging Bison. When I go down in the morning the run looks different… like everything has been rearranged!
Anyway…. we need to review the feeding situation, go buy some more regular feeders or do something like DIY pipe feeders etc.
Bailey enjoying TLC with his mum :-)
Zia watching the chooks-
The Amazon Firestick is plugged into that small Platinum TV and is running the COT Pro camera app connecting to the ALDI Cocoon Outdoor 720p Camera in the Chook run.
Kitties had a visitor-
Shelle Shimmer took these photos. Itook the last when when she was leaving.
Chooks had a visitor-
Shelle Shimmer dropped in this afternoon and when leaving we went down for her to see the girls. I put down a bowl of the Peter’s Layer Pellets and they seem to like it – fingers crossed.
When entering our home you must be prepared to accept-
We live here, you are a guest
You will be poked, possibly pecked, deal with it.
To you we are just chooks but here we are the babies.
They like us more than most humans.
They love us, they’re only friends with you.
No treats… leave the way you came (close gate)
Ruby & Rosie updates-
How time flies… chooks have been with us for one week!
They need to be confined for two weeks so they know where they are, looking forward to next weekend!
They don’t seem to be consuming the layer pellets (Discount Animal Supplies, Lysterfield) like they should preferring instead “Speckles food’ the Peter’s Free Range Poultry Mix.
Off today to Best Friends in Stud Park (Rowville) to get the Peter’s Layer Pellets – fingers crossed.
Yesterday Ruby squatted for a pat… then nicked off, making progress :-)
