The bird bath has operating well and I have fallen into a weekly routine to check, hose out and fill the water storage tub (rope bucket) that was used to feed the horses. Lately for some reason the system is using more water?
Walking past I can here the sound of ‘falling water’ from the overflow tube which means the water level is low.
We need some sort of water level indicator and I’m leaning towards mechanical rather than a mix of electrical and electronics.

Too hot earlier on but now a cooler breeze so in the workshop going through some 18650 batteries to recover some more from the pile.

As posted it was setup in the front yard and it’s fortunate I checked about 12.30am and noticed it was running – continuously on – spraying water! Got wet lol turning off the garden tap.
Battery running flat which caused erratic operation resulting in the system jammed in the ON mode! We will need to do something about that to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
