Garden Sentry problems
Garden Sentry – problem :-(
Went out last night to turn on the garden tap and check the motion activated sprinkler and discovered the system has a problem. The PIR sensor turns on and stays on? Gave up after stuffing around for a while and shut everything down.

Speckles hot night in chook shed
Speckles was a bit overheated in her shed (around 28) so did the usual thing and setup the USB fan, beak not opening now and back to pruning herself. I’ll monitor the temp and turn off the fan later.

The boy is 1/2 way to adulthood – six months!
Boy in the bag weight is 3.42kg
Empty bag weight is 0.438kg
Rounding off the little bugger is 3.0kg.
Garden Sentry spray shield modification
Adding a spray shield to the motion activated sprinkler.
Without something like this the over spray will keep activating the sensor and the system won’t turn off.

At 3.45am this morning a very surprised prowling cat was detected and scared away with noise and water spray!

No prowling cats the last two mornings so here we setting up for tomorrow morning – under cover.
Unexpected rain and thunder this afternoon so had to run out and being the equipment in under cover and yes… working on weather shields.

All quiet on the western front-
Apart from marauding moths and the neighbor across the road getting ready to go fishing @ 4.00am no sign of any prowling cats.
