Router lift for ALDI Workzone router table – made some more refinements to the scissor jack.

Rather than the bottom of the router sitting directly on the jack, which tends to block the ventilation slots, it now sits in a frame where the top of each side has a U-shaped cut out to mate with the router handles.

Router lift – jack to high

Router lift for ALDI Workzone router table – in the end I had to drop the jack down a lot further than first envisaged.

And even had to add spacer block.

Fiddling around to see if this will operate, I think so…the increased angle of the pivot arms is about where the jack starts to deliver efficient lifting force.

Added a top and bottom plate for stability and replace the 1/4″ nuts with lock nuts. Currently one of the nuts has to be turned for testing the jack. I want the rod to turn so need to replace the hex nuts with Tee nuts…and epoxy in.

One thing I found very handy for my particular hobby is laminate flooring so bought a pack of the cheapest that Bunnings have which cost $28 bucks, well suited for the pivot arms of this scissor jack
