Had a lovely ‘normal’ Australia Day visiting the family horses – Part 1
Asides
Speckles hot night in chook shed
Speckles was a bit overheated in her shed (around 28) so did the usual thing and setup the USB fan, beak not opening now and back to pruning herself. I’ll monitor the temp and turn off the fan later.
Bailey worming day
Bailey worming day-
The boy is 1/2 way to adulthood – six months!
Boy in the bag weight is 3.42kg
Empty bag weight is 0.438kg
Rounding off the little bugger is 3.0kg.
Garden Sentry spray shield modification
Adding a spray shield to the motion activated sprinkler.
Without something like this the over spray will keep activating the sensor and the system won’t turn off.
Christmas Cactus on front porch
Here are the four Christmas Cactus we have in the front porch.
Hot day for the birds
Maggie’s in the front yard, Crows and Minors in the back yard – all bathing. Too slow to get a video of this one taking a dip.
That is not a bird bath, do you know what it is?
Grass trimmers second repair-2
Grass trimmers second repair-2
Just finished repairing the other trimmer and yes same problem with a motor wire – broken off.
Grass trimmers first repair-1
Grass trimmers first repair-1
Making preparations to repair the first one – the main one.
Grass trimmers – now both need repair!
The nature strip needs mowing (just that the rest is drying out).
Never got to finish the trimming cos the XU1 cordless trimmer (the spare one) died and the the main one (which died in December) is waiting for repair!
Working again 👍
Due to vibration and fatigue the most common fault for grass trimmers is that one of the motor wires will come adrift. Here is what I did last time (Dec 2018) and a handy reference for repairing two of them!
