Using the RSS Feed Module

RSS Feed Module
1. Enter "Edit Mode" of your space.
2. Click "Customize"
3. In the "Modules" dropdown, select "RSS Feed"
4. Save your layout
 
To associate a feed with that module, just click "Edit" on that module.  You’ll be presented with some sample feeds or you can type in any feed URL.  Give it a name and the number of items you want to appear on your space and you’re finished! 
 
I just used this feature (one of my favorites) to syndicate my BHI-Sharepoint server at Box Hill here on my space (it’s on the right-hand side).

Couple tips (photos, comments)

How do I set the default photo album shown in the Photos module on my space?
The last album you selected in Edit Mode becomes the default album. 
(Not very intuitive!)

There’s a Next link at the top of the comments pane which will take you to the next page.

How do I access MSN Web Messenger from another computer?
In one of the web browsers listed above, enter http://webmessenger.msn.com/?mkt=en-au in the address bar. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can add this site to your favorites by pressing CTRL+D.

How we got to Australia

My family and I came out to Australia as passengers on the cargo vessel Canara (3)

She initially carried 24 passengers which was reduced to 12 in 1947 and to 9 later…not sure when. The Mackenzie clan made up nearly half the passenger list!

She was built by Barclay Curle & Company Glasgow and owned and operated by the British India Steam Navigation Company (UK).
The Canara was the third ship to carry the name and is named after a costal district stretching from Goa to Cochin, Now called Kanara, in the states of both Karnataka and Kerala:

Canara (1) 1874 1904 scrapped at Bombay. 1,903
Canara (2) 1905 1932 scrapped in Italy. 6,012
Canara (3) 1942 1968 scrapped in Taiwan. 7,024

She served from August 1942 until March 1946 in the liner division, with time spent during 1943 as a mechanical transport ship. In 1949 the Canara had a refit in Melbourne where she was fitted with refrigerated capacity much in demand on the Australia-India-Persian Gulf service. Apart from a collision in Bombay 1953 she had a remarkably uneventful career especially considering her service 1942-1945. Her end came after being sold to Jui Cheng Co. Ltd. Of Taiwan and she was broken up in July 1968.
