Workshop tour – Feb 2018

Spent some time over the last few days cleaning up and reorganising the workshop.  The motivation for doing this is to find a parking spot for the latest nearly completed project – the 14” bandsaw !!!

This is the big Ozito 12” sliding mitre saw. I was lucky to get one of the last as they don’t make 12” anymore. Thanks to Ozito (again) for tracking one down and getting one to the Bunnings Scoresby store for me to pick-up.

Garage Workshop – Part 1

The 7 x 3.5 metre garage provides a nice workshop area but…I still have a space problem. This is mainly due to the fact that the garage was…well…just a garage with all the usual home and handyman stuff. However over the last decade, and certainly since I retired in 2010, woodworking has moved to the forefront of my hobbies. Anyway…winter is a good time for planning and that’s what I’m doing so hopefully by spring I’ll have somewhere to move all the secondary hobby stuff to – another shed?

Winnebago – counter top rail

After a night of thunder and lighting plus a domestic disturbance across the (what was used to be a quiet) road that required police attendance it’s turned out to be a nice morning so it’s off to the workshop to do a wood job for family friends and their motorhome.

10I need to reproduce this counter top rail that will be fixed to the other side.
