From stock I need to cut the end off this 2400 x 300 Melamine board.

Moving the 12″ mitre saw so the long board can stick out the door.

Measure and mark 300mm off the end.

Now over to the mitre saw.

The Ozito 12″ sliding mitre saw has the capacity to cut across 12″ or 300mm

The sander disc will be screwed to the motor disc. Back soon…

Disc Sander damage

Above: This is the damaged sander top, it’s sitting on a new one that I have already cut and fitted to the disc sander.

Above: The top is 30 cm deep and to cut a new piece I automatically went to setup the table saw but wait…I now have a sliding mitre saw with 30cm cutting capacity – use that!

Sher drill
While cleaning up the tool cupboard came across some vintage stuff from the early sixties! I remember now…my dad and I caught the train into the city to visit McEwan’s to purchase a complete Sher ShopMate work shop system – the ultimate at that time. I still have the Sher PowerMatic drill (later on became Skill Sher).

Note the mounting collar at the front of the drill. There is also a blind hole at the back on the same centre line to support the drill in the ShopMate stand.
