New Lenovo AIO all setup on our balcony desk

Went to The Glen (Glen Waverley) to do some shopping and ended up purchasing a Lenovo AIO 510s desktop from JB Hi-Fi. Picked the top model i7 with 16GB RAM, SSHD & GeForce GT 930A, 2GB – nice.
Initially unpacked and setup on the kitchen table.

No picture and LED’s flashing like fairy lights
When I was doing the Dell GX270 memory upgrade went off looking for one of my spare monitors and grabbed the above which was working fine last time I used it but that’s a few years ago now. After connecting the external 12V/3A power supply turned on at the power point and the three front panel LED’s came on like fairy lights – not good.
Early 2000 but still a nice monitor…even has DVI !!!

On the right is my watch list TXT file. I have Windows Update (WUA) turned off and check manually weekly. Checking this morning the ‘Virus’ is back again being offered as KB3035583 so once hide it but it comes back!
Dell Optiplex GX270 update
The 2GB kit arrived in the mail today from the US. Just installed and working OK, for it’s age the machine runs really well.
Dell Precision 670 dual Xeon workstation
Since the 4GB memory upgrade the beast is running very nicely. Lucky for me Microsoft extended Vista to 2017 which is what it’s running – Vista Business.
Balcony PC update
As posted last Sunday bought from the market, installed and cloned a Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB – all good. Anyway ended up with quite an array of drives (LOL) as Macrium Reflect just tagged every drive with a letter including system partitions etc. Did some cleanup in Disk Management to hide stuff (see picture) so we are tidy again. Next task was to cleanup the SSD as all the user data like docs, photos videos etc is already on (what is now) the F: storage drive – the Samsung 1TB. Note that all the apps including large ones like Office 2007 Pro will stay on the SSD and as you can see from the picture we have 145GB free.
