What do you want to do today City, Chadstone or Beach?
City – ride Malvern Star to Glen Waverley and catch the train.
Chadstone – walk to bottom of street and hop on the bus
Beach – ride the bike down Springvale Road till you hit the sand.
Memories
Some good memories here for the oldies and in many ways a better life for all in the fifties & sixties. Throw in a few more briquettes before settling down to watch the telly. And yes…lots of yarn adverts, some years later someone gave me one of those knitting machines to repair and found the problem but parts not available – sound familiar
Hot day for the chooks
Current temperature from the remote sensor in the chook shed is 41.2°, of course they are not in there but over in the shade of the cottage garden.

Today is Friday 2nd July, this time next week will be my last day of work!
PS. better jot that down on a sticky note and stick to forehead.
My retirement
I have decided to retire and have formally notified my employer.
My last working day is July 9 and I turn 63 in November.
I have been planning for this over the last couple of years and found out a lot about how things work and what I had to do to plan for retirement ad safeguard my savings – so I don’t end up in a soup line. I will post under the Diary catagory my adventures…
