We have sun and wind this morning so gave it the first coat of ‘leftover paint’ from another project.

Classic Sawhorse – part 3
With everything pre-assembled to check fitting went ahead to finally glue and screw the legs.

Arrived home after the usual Monday shopping run with the shopping and – a bed
As posted annual council collection is this week and that bed was only a few doors down so ran back in the rain to grab that – some nice timber there
Now…a few doors down the other way someone has put out a washing machine so I’ll ‘borrow’ that with a hand trolley, pull out the motor and related electrical stuff – and return.
Speckles sleeping in this morning
After a very busy day yesterday helping me in the garden and the workshop, Speckles decided to have a sleep in this morning
. Check out the time, usually she is up before 7.30am.
Classic Sawhorse – part 2
Continue on with the legs with a combo of compound mitre cuts, bandsaw cuts and even using the good old handsaw.
Cutting the angled cross lap joints in the sawhorse top for the four legs.

Classic Sawhorse – part 1
Using the old sawhorse for bundling branches was too much for it in the end; the poor thing ended up lame. Oh well…we have another lock down project
No point reinventing the wheel, let’s use the leg that broke off to transfer some measurements.
Melbourne lockdown extended for another week!
