Got a invite from our outgoing Bruce member to attend a Seniors’ Afternoon Tea at the Brandon Park Community Centre – to meet the new guy. Well…never got to meet the old one because he spent to much time down the other end, but we did meet the new guy – a bit of a dud. Anyway…had some nice egg sandwiches with a coffee.

Case for Lenovo 10” tablet
Mail delivery today from China, a case for the Lenovo Yoga tablet which cost $9.39 inc delivery – thanks to the older kid for the eBay order.
Misty to the vet
The old girl limping on her left leg and something wrong with her middle toe – I think it’s broken. Vet diagnosed the problem before I even put her on the table as toe constriction and with another feel a broken toe. It’s like a scabby growth band that constricts the toe and when picked off you are down to the bone. She now has a cotton bud splint, well bandaged and on pain killer medication for a couple of weeks. Vet thinks she will be OK, if not off comes the toe.

Internet outage
BigPond cable outage – went to bed with no internet and Telstra tech visit booked this morning 8 – 12. Holly woke me before 8.0 but took no notice until alarm went off at 8.15. Better get moving, noticed modem lights were normal so logged into router and everything looks OK. Better click the SMS link on the phone to notify callback for support lady to phone me back – to cancel the booking. While chatting to her checked service status and yes there was another (unrelated to yesterday) overnight 3150 outage that was restored at 7.35am this morning – wow.

Bond Telescopic Tree Pole Pruner 2.4m
After Bunnings went across the road to Masters, something we won’t be doing in the near future – cos it’s won’t be there. Checking out with a few items and noticed on my left a box of tree pruners @ $29. Hey that’s a good price and it looks to have a more refined cutter mechanism that the ALDI one I have for around the same price – so got one.
Visit to older daughter’s place
First visit after the move last weekend with some garden tools in the boot to tend to the veggie patches. Not really my cup of tea but managed to be useful pulling out corn clumps and miscellaneous weeding tasks. Oh…and both ET and I ended up stepping on dog poop.
