Batman lights – some thoughts.
Batman lights – some thoughts.
Lately when falling asleep I’m counting bats as they fly over the bed…hmm. (Any simpleton comments containing the word ‘batty’ will be removed)
While making all these bats I’m thinking to make some fundamental changes on how I offer the product – for sale.
The battery version is a complicated build process and (putting aside the Chinavirus thing) those RGB LED strip lights are only available from China which is normally 3 weeks plus.
I can source the USB version locally from Kmart and a eBay supplier located in Glen Iris !!!
So…Al is thinking drop the battery version and only offer USB with two options; USB cable customer provides 5V @ 2A power source OR rechargeable version using a flat Powerbank with price increase from $50 – $65 to cover that extra cost.
Al’s Workshop international orders
Al’s Workshop – international orders
With regard to the UK Batman order just checked postage to UK and it’s under $30, not bad considering I’ve been posting Batman to country folks happy to pay the $20 for postage.
So…with agreement about the current state of affairs I’ll take her order shipped without batteries and need to check if Bunnings MDF timber will pass through customs etc….LOL
l’s Workshop first international order
Al’s Workshop update – woke up this morning to my first international order, UK enquiry for another Batman light.

Always nice when happy customers send back photos of their silhouette night light(s) along with lovely comments. The doggie made a safe trip from Wheelers Hill to Coldstream. This one features remote control (bottom right corner).

Batman is ready to fly away.
Rough Collie with remote control off to new home.
Hot Wheels sign is next up.
Hot weather slowed things down a bit with 40 plus temps in the workshop (down tools) but we are rolling again. While at Bunnings today bought a Arlec ceiling fan which I will install tomorrow.
