Due to my left eye saga which started December 2023 we are way behind with garden duties. Still recovering from DMEK surgery but reached that point where I am allowed to resume normal duties.
Note – I would normally (but not possible this time) use my pole trimmer and lopper (see last photos)

Made a start working from the left and you can see how much has to come off.

The hedge trimmer was only useable up to the cut line. The top required both the anvil and more powerful ratchet loppers and at one point had to go get the chainsaw to lop the main trunk of each shrub.

This end is always awkward can’t reach with step ladder up on the lawn so had to attack from around the corner with one foot on the ladder and other on the fence.
