Cut out the middle using a new ALDI Workzone jigsaw with awful results. Hmmm…should have used a jigsaw ‘scroll saw’ blade to follow the cut line.

Cleaned up the botched inside cut with my homemade drum sander in a drill press.
Now we need to centre the ring on the wheel to minimize run-out, then fix with screws.

Using the same wheel jig as before but this time vertically.

Came up with the idea to tack the ring to the wheel with double sided tape.

As before setup a pointer to measure run-out.

Kept nudging the ring to minimize run-out, now we can clamp the ring before removing from the shaft to place on workbench to carefully drive eight Torx screws.
