14” Bandsaw – Blade guides 2

From the last session added a piece of MDF to the top of the bearing guide block.

Now we can move onto actually mounting the blade bearing guides on a piece of laminate flooring.

That worked out well, the 8mm bolt holes are slotted so the bearings can be adjusted to just kiss the blade.

Crikey…forgot about the pair of thrust bearings that sit behind the blade !!!

OK…a piece of hardwood replaces the MDF and the bearing pair bolt to the front edge. This also needs to slide for thrust bearing adjustment so I’ll do the same as per the bearing block: Slotted hole, tapped hole into the arm, threaded rod and washer/wing nut.
