During this session generally added more bracing to make the main vertical support and the upper wheel assembly horizontal arm more robust, to minimise shaking and vibration.

More pine and a bracing board on the side.

Carefully measured and cut MDF panels for each side.

Clamped each one before driving in Torx screws along top and side of each one.

Glued and screwed blocks on the bottom edge of each one so I can screw straight in rather than stuff around from underneath.

For working low to the floor I often sit on the two step stool.

Warning – got this two step stool for $2 bucks when Masters was closing down. The first couple of times I used it the bloody thing gave way on me! If not for my cat like reflexes I could have injured myself – like broken ankle. It easily tips forward even with one foot on the top !!! Screwed it to a board, offset to one end. Now safe to use ![]()
