Router lift for ALDI Workzone router table – as posted earlier the scissor jack failed (see first pic). It’s surprising how much upward force is required to overcome the router plunge springs.

We need to beef up the pivot arms from dowel to larger blocks.

Version 1.2 using pivot blocks and…running with the grain rather than across which is more likely to split.

The main issue is that the fully collapsed jack only just fits under the bottom of the router, the jack is least efficient at this starting point and requires a lot of jack screw effort to get things moving, like starting of in third gear. We need to mount the jack below the bench top.

This looks promising, at this starting point where the jack starts to push the router up the greater angle of the pivot arms will provide more efficient lifting force.
