The kids got me on of these for Christmas!
The first thing after unpacking is of course to charge the little beast (about 50 mins).
While waiting for this read through the second half of the instructions (page 2 LOL) and then go find 6 AA batteries for the remote.
They are amazing to fly and after a few minutes of practice I had no problems keeping the beast in the air and under reasonable control. Boxing Day was a different story, could not get the beast off the floor and into the air – why???
Dec 27th update: This morning I took the kit to the rumpus room downstairs (2 story house) and she flew great, a full flying session until the battery ran down and she came down gently. So…Christmas Day OK, Boxing day would not fly and today she flies again – again why??? After a recharge I will try again upstairs, maybe it’s something to do with interference from all the IR devices upstairs; TV/Foxtel/AV Wireless etc. Downstairs is “IR clean”.
My son got one and we can’t get the controller to charge. Put in fresh, out of the package batteries, nothing. Tried to charge off heli, nothing. When you were having problems was it the controller power? Any suggestions?

I have only charged via USB. My problem is that the heli will sometimes fly OK and on other occasions not fly at all, gets to about one inch off the floor and refuses to climb any further?
