You need to be patient using this tool – it jams staples.
To minimise this I found I have to break off some staples from each row, about 3 or 4 mil.
As with any stapler you need to press down firmly to get the staples to bed down.
Some have had trouble obtaining staples for this unit but I had no problem at Bunings.
