In this session we are going to remove the roofing.

Before starting on dismantling the annex roof I cleared the whole area including moving the spare shed panels further down behind the garage aka workshop.

The weather turned and delayed and progress for the last few days.
We have also been away from home quite a bit and even today arrived back about 3.00pm and here I am determined to get something done.
Back for another session.
About to start another session. With the wire mesh on the left side of the annex front removed we need to remove the staples on the right side the along the side and along the back of the annex. Note – That is one continuous length and with the veggie boxes there it’s going to be a PIA to remove the bottom plinth board staples.
After 25 years we quit backyard chooks last August and since then the chook area has been standing there like a relic from the past and this year I started storing stuff in there. We have decided to get a backyard Pod as a stay over for family and friends so the chicken annex needs to be dismantled to make room. The actual chook run will remain and be converted to a covered patio area.

To get started I am removing the chook annex and the veggie boxes including the shade mesh.
I can see clearly now… with both eyes!
No one can say I lack patience, the eyeball journey dragged on for 18 months starting December 2023. After the left eye cataract was done and disappointed with very blurred vision weeks rolled into months and finally (not happy) referred to a cornea specialist.
At the first consultation she identified I also have Fuchs Endothelial Dystrophy (FED) aka Fuchs’ dystrophy in both eyes with the left eye much worse that the right.
After a long journey starting December 2024 the left eyeball is done and ticked off the to-do list (y)
Took over three hours to have the eye test and scanned on four optical instruments plus one hour waiting for eye drop dilation.
Oh… and another 1/2 hour of admission paperwork for Manningham Private Hospital on the 26th of Feb 2025 for the right eye cataract procedure!
The plywood top of the box needs replacing, took a shortcut and replaced the top without removing the whole thing which worked out OK.
Cut a piece of plywood in the workshop.
Charlie along with other partners in damage, attempting to get to the covered feed tray, hacked away at the feed cover until it was ripped away from the servo actuator arm and ended up on the lawn. Yep… it’s back in the workshop :-)
Those buggers are strong and smart and I don’t want to loose the jousting competition… thinking. Went for a walk around the garden and found this large pot plant saucer that hopefully will prevent them from grabbing the edge of the feed cover.
