From 2004 – 2019 this was our main switch located in the upstairs linen cupboard. When it died I had a go at repairing the power supply but gave up and it was replaced with a Netgear switch. The photo below is was taken in 2019 photo when the switch died.
While cleaning up Al’s Workshop came across it again and decided to have have another look – to repair.
Been in the workshop for a while doing some electronics repairs. Decided to go inside for a coffee break and on the way looked for Speckles – where is she?
Did the rounds of both the back and front yards, no sign of her?
Finally found her here… near the garage/workshop tucked in behind that English Box 
On the right is my Auto refill / Auto water recycle bird bath
This is much the same as my Chicken Curry but first the balls need to be prepared. Finely dice medium onion and in a bowl mix that into 500G of mince along with curry powder (Mackenzies Clive of India) and a beef cube. Now the fun part; compress and form into balls, put aside and start prepping/cooking the main curry sauce. PM for recipe.
This year our tomatoes (5 plants in a ALDI garden box) are looking worse than they did last year but… here’s todays quick pick.
My ‘Post / Parcel Drop Tray’ is working well.
Repurposed kitchen dish drying rack.
Went to move it from the bird bath over to the cottage garden to monitor Speckles and when I plugged the micro USB cable into the camera connector it broke away and is now rattling around inside the camera housing – bugger.
Gave myself no chance of repairing this one!
Removed the base and the USB PCB socket dropped out onto the work bench. – the tiny mounting legs have broken off. No photo of the actual socket as it’s too small (bloody tiny) for the phone camera to focus.
Cleaning up around the garden shed came across this water feature that’s been neglected for the last 8 years – time flies!
The special hand-made brass nozzle jet that allows for undisturbed water flow – is missing! I just made another simplified nozzle jet from a steel washer; countersunk, ground and then polished. The result is quite acceptable. See my blog link below for the 2014 project build.
I still need a water pump to recirculate the water.
During that extended hot spell Speckles spent the nights in the entry foyer and now with the cooler weather she was back in the chook shed last night. Went out to lock up and put her to bed and found her standing on the front door mat – so let her in.
