We are adding ground floor accommodation!
1 – Ground floor (New choice)
2 – Level 1 (Default choice for last 25 years)
3 – Level 2 (Mezzanine or Roost)
As posted the girls have been bedding down in this corner. Why… stuffed if I know. Anyway… decided to make a floor sleeping (maybe nesting) box. The ‘Speckles coop heater’ has been removed and that floor area cleaned out.
Why here ???… they should be further down towards the back of the chook annexe where all the other chooks (over the last 25 years) have done their dusting – lol
With rain on the way getting the trimming and mowing done.
Girls have been waiting out the back for me to finish the front.
Yesterday evening as usual we check the chook cameras when the girls are going to bed. Time ticking bye and no chooks in the coop?
Checked the outside chook run camera and no chooks… what’s going on!
Went out to check and found them on the floor in this corner !
They are into landscaping, the mulch in all the garden beds has been dug out onto the grass and the garden pond has been rearranged – lol. Here is another example, bloody pebbles dug out onto the concrete!
We don’t do ALDI much these days, maybe once every two months.
ET got herself the BAUHN Smart Watch and I the FERREX Digital Multimeter. I’ll report later on the watch.

The weatherboards are of course angled so we need a couple of top spacer blocks.
He’s quite capable of holding his ground against larger birds in particular Galahs which lately seem to be increasing in numbers.
