These days I seem to be spending more time inside the house and less time outside doing what needs to be done and all the yard work is falling behind. Now making a effort to rectify that situation before we run into Autumn.

Been like this for a few months now and I keep walking past… must do something about that.

Empty the pond of everything so we can do a water exchange.

Cleaned and checked the pump all OK and I usually have a spare filter but not this time so put that on the shopping list and we’ll clean the used filter which actually came up like new!

Ready to start the water exchange.

With regard to pump output the garden hose flow needs to be adjusted to maintain a fairly  constant water level in the pond – about half.

Waiting and watching while the pond fills to about half then I’ll back of the garden tap.

With the water exchange done in the next session we will focus on getting the waterfall working again. The diffuser is actually a vacuum cleaner hard floor accessory tool.
