Eyes updates

Took advantage of the nice (few and far between) day to get the trimming and mowing done.
I needed to get this done because I’m likely to be in clinical recovery mode for quite a while. The ongoing saga of left eyeball cataract surgery last December is still work in progress. The original clinic (Mt Waverley) gave up with the blurred vision and passed me onto another eye clinic (Springvale) where I was dragonized with FED (both eyes) which requires a DMEK procedure. In preparation for that had a laser procedure yesterday (hole punched in eye) that will allow air to be pumped in during the DMEK procedure. On Thursday have to attend a sister clinic (Glen Iris) to make sure that laser procedure is still OK and then I have to present (July 31) as a day patient at Epworth Freemasons (Victoria Pde) for the main DMEK which is a (doner) membrane transplant. But wait… after that have to lie flat on my back for 2 to 5 days and only allowed up for essentials like eating, bathroom, toilet etc. Oh yeah… then have to have like eight checkups, in particular the doner rejection thing.
Hopefully with fingers crossed all that works out and than we do it all again – the right eyeball.
While all this is going on also had a kidney stone laser procedure and attending dental appointments and… looking forward to Spring – hurry up.
