During the recent storms and power outages the UPS failed to keep the Lenovo AIO desktop running so disconnected the black brick and took it to the workshop for repair at a later date.

I have been busy doing other stuff but now it’s time to get this fixed and out of the way.

Opened the case and checked the battery voltage which is down to around 10 volts so most likely one cell is down or dead.

I just happen to have a brand new spare battery!
That’s what we want to see.
That’s what we want to see, with the old battery connected to the bench power supply the low charge current of 250mA confirms the battery is stuffed.
Back under the desk and connected.

Updated the software and everything functioning normally. If the actual UPS remains fault free I suppose we will be back in about three years to again replace the battery.
