Window feeder for Bluey – Part 1

He’s quite capable of holding his ground against larger birds in particular Galahs which lately seem to be increasing in numbers.

The boy has been flying in for a few weeks now. When he’s spotted ET wants one of us to go out pronto before he nicks off to check and add bird seed – selective bird feeding.

Would be nice if we could feed him at the balcony window! With that in mind I’m making a feeder that will be located just outside the window.

I want the gunmetal cat food bowls to sit flush with the fence paling board. The sides are angled so I’m making jigsaw cut out templates to get the correct compass radius.

Measuring and marking done.

Clamp to the workbench.

Drill some pilot holes for the jigsaw blade.

Both done.

That’s good.

Some brackets so we can screw to a weatherboard.

Ready for spray painting.

Retro Mission Brown (lol).

I’ll move that into the workshop later to dry overnight.

Back tomorrow…
