Working on the scanner top panel.
Cutting some plywood strips for the edges of top phone panel.
Fitting the side plywood strips.
Starting the glue-up and then working my way around.

While that’s drying we’ll do some more on the negative carrier.
Thinking… doing away with the negative frame holder and instead will cut a MDF panel so it’s a slide fit into the box.
Transferring the frame window onto the MDF panel.
Over to the scroll saw to cut out the window.
That’s looking good. I’m thinking of thin plastic on the bottom of the scanner panel so the negative doesn’t fall through.

Yes… found what I was looking for, thin clear rigid plastic sheet that will be glued onto the bottom of the scanner panel to support the negative.

Here seen upside down the top camera panel is a nice snug fit on the box lip.
Gluing on three pieces of timber that will ensure the phone is always located in the same position.
Leave to dry overnight.
I’ll be back…
