The scanner box will have rectangular slots on either side. The sliding carrier will be inserted from the right side – something like that.

Start with some scrap 3mm MDF.

Measure and mark the right side for a handle.

Over to the scroll saw.

With that done tidy up with sandpaper.

We need to mark and cut out the negative window.

Off for a coffee break and think about it some more.
