Workshop drainage – Part 5

After three days of inclement weather and not being able to pick up tools it’s good to come out of hibernation.

More kneeling… need to cut out the end of that angled timber so the drain corner can line up with the PVC pipe.

What can I use to cut that out?

Went through the power tools and came up with this – Ozito Multi Purpose Saw.

More kneeling…

Start cutting.

Done, we now need the hammer drill.

When the concrete was poured back in 2004 excess squeezed out below the boards so I now need to drill holes to weaken the concrete and the chip away the excess.

I do not want to use the big crow bar which could damage the floor edge!

Drilling a series of holes and chipping away – carefully.

Nearly to the fence end, more kneeling so take a break and feed Speckles.

With that done let’s put the drain in and start levelling with a fall to this end.

Time to wind up this session and after I tidy up and put all the tools away I’ll check the garden shed to make sure we have ready mix concrete and mortar etc.

Back tomorrow…
