Kicking off this project with making the 30cm MDF sanding disc. I have ordered a 30cm Velcro pad and already have a pack of 30cm sanding discs.

Bought two sheets of MDF this afternoon from Bunnings.

This is the face plate off the lathe that already has a smaller timber disc so I’ll leave as is and screw the larger disc onto that.

With that done let’s see how it looks on the lathe.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That’s a good start, next step is to setup for turning the disc with a chisel and then check for wobble. Back soon…
