Ceiling workshop fan – part 2

The fan is up and now we are wiring the controller.

Nice to see it up there.

Had to take down the workbench fluro to make room for the fan but that’s fine as I was intending to move that directly over the workbench.

Controller is wired and we are ready to test the fan.

It works !!!
Note: This photo set taken with my Telstra Tab 7″ tablet cos I left my other phones inside.

Power in is that plug lead to the right of the charger. I needed a short length with a 3 pin plug at one end, went looking and found a kettle lead and cut off the IEC plug (commonly called a “kettle” plug)

With everything working we can go ahead and screw everything together.

Like I have done countless times in the past we’ll use a mounting block.

Went looking for a blank plate and rather surprised that I don’t have any – make a note to get some. We’ll make a MDF plate for the back of the mounting block.

Cut to size on the homemade 8″band saw.

Mark the holes.

Looking for screws and nuts the right size.

Off to spray the MDF plate matt white and then take a break to cool off…back soon.

I’ll be back…
