Scroll saw project – update 13

The blade (cutting area) is quite close to the front of the table so I decided to make a fold down extension table.

1
The table extension is from Laminate flooring.

1b
The extension is hinged, I need to come up with something to lock it in place.

2
When not needed it just folds down like this.

3
Between the two hinges is one half of a the extension table lock.

4
This is the ‘bolt’ clamped up while the glue is drying.

7
The ‘bolt’ simply slides in to lock the extension table in the open position.

8
Like this.

6
I don’t envisage using the extension table very often, but it’s there if needed.

9
The ‘bolt’ stores on the side of the saw.
