For this session we are going to make the blade insert disc.

This is where we finished the last session, ready to route out the blade insert.

After measuring and marking I used the round plastic light fitting thing on the left as a template. To busy with the trim router and forgot to take photos of the routing out stage. I will use the saw to cut it’s own blade insert !!!

No issues cutting the hard Laminate flooring

Now to sand down the circumference on the disc & belt sander. Frequent checks and try to align the grain with the table top.

I was a fraction off setting the exact router bit depth resulting in the insert sitting slightly proud of the table top. I’ll fix that tomorrow.

Tomorrow I’ll tidy up the blade extension arms, cut them back plus other minor refinements.
