Workshop tour – Feb 2018

Spent some time over the last few days cleaning up and reorganising the workshop.  The motivation for doing this is to find a parking spot for the latest nearly completed project – the 14” bandsaw !!!

This is the big Ozito 12” sliding mitre saw. I was lucky to get one of the last as they don’t make 12” anymore. Thanks to Ozito (again) for tracking one down and getting one to the Bunnings Scoresby store for me to pick-up.

On the left is my most recent purchase, ALDI WorkZone Xfinity 20V sliding mitre saw. Marked down from $149 to $99 and then another sticker over that for $49 – into the trolley. Battery (must be 4.0Ah) and charger not included. On the right is a WorkZone belt & disc sander. Both are sitting on a butchers trolley.

WorkZone router table with 1200W router. Sitting underneath is a DIY router lift (scissors jack) to easily adjust the bit height which greatly increased the versatility of the setup.

Above the router table is more timber storage.

In the middle of this front area is the Ozito table saw and my most recent project – the 14” bandsaw.

Moving along from the router table is the drilling workbench with two bench drills – WorkZone and Ozito.

Next are two more DIY benchtop power tools, 8” bandsaw and jigsaw table. Both are sitting on a entertainment unit that I picked up off hard rubbish. Stored underneath is the WorkZone shop-vac plus other stuff.

Finally back where we started, a general storage cabinet which also houses the CCTV security system.
