Motion Activated Sprinkler

A bit of a rest after house cleaning and then off to the garage to make final preparations for water testing the unit.

Found some click-on barbs at Bunnings so I’ll change the plain barb on the left for one of those – like on the right.

Here you can see what I’m doing, swap them over so both sides have click-on hose connections.

…and the sprinkler on the other side.

Connect hoses and apply power – via RCD. Trigger the sensor and it works BUT…after a few 10 second cycles it stopped !!!

My sensor unit is powering the solenoid OK, looks like the valve is stuffed, that pitiful trickle should be full flow !!!

Back to the garage and when I dismantled the solenoid discovered the valve diaphragm has ruptured, the trials and tribulations of DIY. Will return that for a larger 25mm solenoid – I’ll be back.
