Spent the last few days searching for a double bed for one of the spare bedrooms. Criteria is straight forward – simple double bed base in white and…cheap! Started off at Fantastic Furniture where they had exactly what we wanted for $149 but no stock, only the display one for $99. Drove around town and ended up back where we started and bought the display one for $99. Store guy (same as last time) was really helpful and I gave him a hand to bubble wrapped the important bits. While I was backed up into the loading bay quite an audience had gathered waiting for their turn, the last and largest item to go in was the bed head and as I walked up to the boot they all started shaking their heads but it slipped into the boot and disappeared and I gently closed the boot lid – back seat was at home.

Looks like the backbone from some prehistoric creature.
