Gazebo paving – Part 1

1

Finally doing something about paving the gazebo area. The chooks won’t be happy as this was a nice dry area for them to shelter and even dust during wet weather. The paved area is 3 x 3 meters and I started digging before we even decided on the paver type and pattern.

Need to clear the area so after pulling out the big pegs my older daughter gave me a hand to ‘walk’ the gazebo over to the front of the garden shed.

2Went down to Bunnings and decided on this this type of paver – 200×200 and 400×200 in beige. Also purchased 5 lengths of pine to box the thing and one for screeding. Will be delivered tomorrow.

By now it was mid afternoon so off down the road to a garden supply place to order one cubic metre of sand. If they could deliver soon I would have enough time to move (daylight savings gone) it off the driveway to the back yard – they could.

It makes sense to box the area first but the timber won’t arrive till tomorrow, never mind I need to clear the driveway so let’s barrow the sand in there not to close to the borders.

There’s plenty left over which I planned for as there are a couple of other paving projects.

Importantly the driveway is clear for delivery of the pavers tomorrow morning.
